This Web site features my 1993 Nissan NX2000. Soon I'll have pictures of my baby up, as well as links to my favorite places on the 'Net, and a little info about the very rare NX2000.
My Car
In fall of 2002, I was driving home from class at the local college, when I drove past a used-car dealership, where there was a bright red NX2000 sitting out front. I knew it was the higher model NX, with the 2.0L twin cam motor, T-Tops, and viscous linited-slip differential, because I noticed the 14" seven-spoke wheels. I had to stop and take a quick look at it! It only had 98,000 miles on it, the paint was practically perfect, the motor ran nice and strong, and the interior was very nice. I returned later that day, with a little help from my family finance-wise, bought it for ,000 even. I drove home that day with the biggest grin on my face I think I'd ever had.
Modifications
I had monumental plans for both the body, and engine of this NX. When youre starting out with the Nissan SR20 motor(essentially the same motor in the JDM Nissan Silvia), which has repeatedly been pushed to 800hp, the sky is the limit. As I've only had it for about 8 months as of writing this, I havent had much expendable money to buy many upgrades. The first thing to happen was the addition of an intake system; a PlaceRacing Cold-Air Intake which I bought off a guy on sr20deforum.com for . I havent had time as of yet to enlarge the hole in the fender for the cold-air section, so it's really just a pretty warm-air intake as of now. As soon as I'd put the intake on, I noticed an increase in power, response, and especially engine noise. I've had seveal friends comment on the deep growl that dosent come from the exhaust, but from in the front....from the intake. As soon as I bolt-on more parts, I will update it here, so check back soon!!
